Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I’ve been super busy and there really hasn’t been anything new. Still doing vocals, still working on some mixes. We’re about 6 songs deep into vocals now, and I think I’ve finally shaped up a mix that I like for one song. I’ve started working on mixing a second as of today. This has been a pretty brutal routine for me, as both mixing and tracking vocals take a lot of concentration, and doing both, day in and day out, has left me with a raisin for a brain. That was a lot of commas. Too many? I don’t know. Raisins can’t think.

i second the “thanks for all the hard works guys” comment. the band sounds like it’s working very hard, up against some sort of deadline. i appreciate it. i’m sure all the work will pay off in the end.
you guys know better than anyone else what you’re capable of, and how much it will take you burn you out. i hope that doesn’t happen.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. The reason we are working against a deadline is so we can get this out in the fall and not next year. Getting closer!

i think 50% of my recording knowledge has come from this blog. i never knew/understand what mixing, tracking, etc. meant. now someone tell me what mastering is. haha.

I gotta question on recording drums. do u find it best to solo each track or just get a left and right of the board?
