Hello people, It’s Riley.
We’re home from our first stint on Warped Tour, enjoying a little summer vacation, eagerly awaiting the arrival of the newest addition to the Thrice family (Teppei and his wife are expecting their second child any day now), and starting with this post, we’re beginning the process of giving you bits of information/music to hold you over until “Beggars” comes out.
I’m proud to announce that it’s officially “hurry up and wait” time. We have a release date. We have cover art. We’re really close to finishing the packaging and artwork. And in the months leading up to October 13th, we’ll be sharing four videos with short interviews from each of us, talking about the writing of “Beggars”.
I guess I’m batting leadoff in this lineup. Enjoy.

I see you’ve deleted all the other comments here. I don’t blame you really. I woke up to seeing what happened with “Beggars” via ap.net and then read all 20 pages of banter. The whole thing has pretty deeply disturbed me.
I wanted to take a moment and share my unwavering support for you all. You have been my favorite band since The Illusion of Safety came out. Not only am I in support of the music you create, but my support extends to your view on the arts, your relentless work ethic, indeed your entire career is a testament to the men you all are.
As a newly-married pastor living on a budget, my money is tight, but every chance I get to see you guys, I’ve scraped cash together (7-8 times over the years!). I also had the honour and privilege of meeting Dustin on the “Where’s the Band?” tour, and even play the tambourine on stage (in Pontiac MI). It was an incredible opportunity to see someone I revere so highly up close and personal. I don’t mean to idolize any of you, because I think there’s a danger there. But my respect and love for you guys and what you do is limitless.
I will not download the leak, and like always, will buy your album on release day, or pre-order and then, if it hasn’t come by release day (I’m from Canada), buy another, and give the pre-release to a friend. I bought 3 copies of each Alchemy Index, and then two copies of the vinyl. If you guys choose to put this out on wax, guaranteed I’ll be one of the first to throw my pre-order in (probably for all colours).
I hope and pray the best for this album, and from what I’ve heard via bad quality live YouTube rips from Warped Tour, the songs are incredible and a new evolution of the band – yet it still sounds unmistakably “Thrice”.
I just wanted to send this out to encourage you – I’m sure it’s been a disappointing past 24 hours.

thankfully Brand New’s new album comes out a month of so before, so i wont have to aganise for a few months waiting for awesome music.
it will be a great two months of music releases for sure =)

There’s only a handful of bands out there that I’ve bought every one of their albums, and so far you guys have been worth every penny. The thing I love most is how progressive you guys are with every album, it’s like each album hits a new levl. And somehow as far as you guys grow outward with each album it’s still so true to the original sound and feel that everyone knows as Thrice. You guys are phenomenal – I’ve bought all your albums so far and I’m not stopping cause of some stupid album leak.
Anyone who listens to Kaki King is in my good books.
Can’t wait to hear the album, WHEN IT IS RELEASED. Haha, I managed to fight the temptation to download the leak.
I hope you guys will continue with these little snippets for those of us that didn’t download Beggars…I laughed so hard at Riley’s comment about the screen cap.

Downloaded it on iTunes as soon as I could and it’s fantastic! As much as I love the work you guys do, I don’t write here often. Riley, I’m pretty sure this was the sentiment you were going for, but I’ve always bee taught to write and play exactly what you want and anyone else who likes it is a bonus. Turns out your cup runs over with bonus’, eh?
