Day 1 UK

January 18th, 2010

We’ve arrived in the UK on a sunny yet chilly day.

Most of the day time was spent sitting in London driving around picking up rental gear. On our way out to Leeds we happened to break down (ALREADY!) and spent much of the night in the dark, freezing, and waiting for a replacement.

Luckily we hadn’t made our way outside of London yet and happened to be right down the street from a nice little pub.

Love,
Ed

  31. Tom says:

    @benji ‘forums’, boo you. We might not let them come back to you :o )

    I’m sad my post from the last thread with the setlist and thoughts after the Leeds show has got lost now, I got rileys setlist, shook Nate’s hand after a truly heroic effort to fill impossible shoes, loved the setlist and was pleased they played “deadbeat” and the people of Leeds showed them why they just can’t retire it, tooo popular, loads of people went crazy for beggars material too- the intensity of singing along with “the weight” was amongst the strongest and heartfelt I’ve experienced at any thrice gig.

    Thankyou again so much for last night, hopefully I will be able to hear, talk and turn my head without pains in the next couple of days :o )

  32. Perri. says:

    @Tom …

    “Deadbolt”?

  33. Tom says:

    Really looking forward to Friday’s gig, guys! Am so excited you’re playing in RR, Nottingham and not Rock City. It’s going to be a sweaty one!
