Holy Hotness!

Another rainy day here in Nottingham…
Last day of the headlining shows here in the UK ended with a super fun show, but, it was a really hot one… Everyone was sweating their buns off including the people in the crowd. It was great to see some many people jammed so tightly in there having a good time with us. Thanks to all who came out.
With all the accidents I’d been having on this tour I had escaped this day unscathed… BUT NO!!!!
Being that the show was extremely hot, there also was a lot of wet… and a strip of uncarpeted/painted cement wet and slick like ice. I of course, found my way to it and planted my foot (amidst much movement) directly on it…
On my buns giggling I spent the next few moments trying to figure out how to make my way back up to my feet whilst continuing to play the rest of the song.
Despite unintentional stage moves and unreal sweaty heat, the show was amazing fun.
Thank you Nottingham!
Love,
Ed

Awesome gig last night guys. See you when you’re back in the UK for Reading festival! Thanks!!
come back to cali
No one happens to have a clip of Ed falling?
No but nice to hear you are enjoying yourself at the shows.
And Set list anyone? The same as before I assume?
And come to Sweden!
Rhx for the dayly updates. Nice=)
See you tonight guys, going be crazy in such a big place. But I never miss you in London! except for generally missing you!
Stay safe ED!
im an so psyched for tonight.
my 3 favourite bands in one show. just wish everyone was playing equal length sets.
but still!!!!!! its going to be amazing
oh Ed.
you’d be such a fit with the Dillinger Escape Plan with all those accidents. What a chaos that stage would be.
Thank you guys so much for coming to the UK, Best gig EVER! Ed i didnt even know you fell im glad you were ok, it seriously was hot in there man i sweat through my tshirt jumper jacket and jeans. i got there early so i managed to get to the front although the pictures i took were pretty lame because i kept having to fight to keep my place haha i missed the last train back to birmingham so i just got home but i still have the biggest smile on my face, it was more than worth the solo mission, i hope to see you guys again when you come back Peace
Best night of my life. Thank you.
Frickin loved last night (Milly Michaelson rework <3 ) and can't wait for this evening – that is so long as the tubes don't cock up
Well worth the 5 hour wait in Leicester station until the first train back to London at 4.40am today :p
I had a great time at the show! My buddy and I (in the US Air Force) drove 2 1/2 hours from an American base to rock out! It was my first time seeing you guys live and can’t wait for the next opportunity. Thanks to Dustin for hanging out after the show. I had a photo and autograph with him. Best birthday ever! Stop by the base on a USO tour sometime please!!!
Haha! It was during Silhouette wasnt it Ed? I saw you planted on the floor laughing… that was hilarious. It was an amazing show, so glad I was there. I’ll back to see you when you come back, along with good ol’ Teppei (although Nate did a fantastic job!)
This has to stop right now Ed. I’m serious!
Now you must divulge the origins of that Grabber you were playing. Its different from your usual rotation, and it looks great. Did you just re-mod a scrappy looking one?
HAHA I just checked the video I recorded, I’ve totally got Ed falling over! Along with the girl in front me giggling haha. Hate to embarass you further but I’ll put it up on YouTube later
Hey guys brilliant show last night! I must admit to being a bit of newbie to Thrice but I’m now flying the flag! I really appreciated Dustin coming out and having a few words with the stragglers, you don’t see it much these days and it was greatly appreciated! Best of luck in London and we’ll hopefully see you in the Summer, unless you fancy coming to Ireland?!
I’m so pissed off I haven’t managed to get to one of the shows. Fucking British train system
invis. children won their $1 million contest thing. that’s cool.
Standing in wembley arena looking at the stage waiting for the guys to come on! Pshyched!
Holy shit. I was at the goddam show and never noticed Ed slip. Serves me right for standing right at the back. Curse my personal space issues.
Great show. They are not joking about the heat. It was immense. But they just do what Thrice do; put on amazing shows. I love what they have done with “A Song for Milly Michaelson”, and the new songs sound amazing live, especially “Beggars”.
Setlist for wembley (glassjaw are not my cup of tea so thought what better time than while they wail away to post the setlist, hurry up and get on brand new)
of dust and nations
silhouette
all the world is max
in exile
the artist in the ambulance
beggars
think there may have been one more, glassjaw are smashing my ears in so can’t concentrate on remembering right now
)
awesome show though the sound was a little ropey to start with but the guys can be really proud, we sang as loud as we could and have tried to educate anyone we’ve overheard not having thrice in their life yet !
Thank you again so much for coming to see us all, Monday ad tonight have been really special and cat wait to see you again in the summer with your brother teppei who was on everyones thoughts again tonight.
Grea
set, the beggars stuff was amazing live!
Shame all the brand. new didn’t seem to know who you were, strangest thrice experience ever I think, real shame!
But huge thanks for coming back to London
Nates doing a great job. Although teppei is the man! I was still excited to hear that nate was his replacement for this tour. Combining a bit of the former treos and THRICE ill take any day
. cool vid here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EX8oJu1e_7Q
Best birthday ever! Cheers to Dustin for coming and meeting everyone in the bar afterwards. Even though they didn’t comply with me & some other guys at the front asking for ‘Paper Tigers’, it was still incredible. Also, how the hell did Ed manage to fall, but the guy from We Are the Ocean not?
Digging all the updates from Ed. Good to hear from you.
@Phil
No idea. To be honest, I can’t stand bands like that. I guess it was kind of novel when the dude was climbing around like a monkey etc. and the other guys seemed talented enough.. but all I could think when listening to them was “oh, so you’re a generic screamo band?”
oh, and one more thing. I’m blaming all you other guys for buying all the merch in Small! I wanted the opticiany style tee
Yeah, thought the whole jump-in-the-crowd thing was a bit gimmicky, plus he kicked my mate (by accident) when he went over the barrier.
@ Ben
Sorry, I think I got the last one of those in small! Wanted the ‘Beggars’ hoodie which I saw the bass tech wearing earlier (who may have been the ex-bassist of Glassjaw)
when I grow up, I want to hear the reworked milly michaelson.
Every winter I decide to find a way to add more traction to my Vans, like chains or studs like snow tires.
The bruise on my hip proves as a reminder that Vans were made in California and probably were not intended to be worn in Midwest winter weather.

@ Phil
enjoy it
In a strange way, after these two shows I’m going to really miss seeing Nate playing with Thrice. He added a new vibe to their live performance I felt. Whilst the rest of the guys seem to be pretty introverted when they play and into it in that way, Nate just has a beaming smile on his face the whole time and bounces around the stage like he’s playing with a new toy. It was a pleasure.
That being said, will be incredible to see the whole band back together over in the UK in the summer.
Thanks for the show at Nottingham guys, was the first time i’ve seen you headline. It was amazing! My favourite song was A Song For Milly Michaelson. Simply astounding. Was very happy to see a slower song from the Alchemy Index played. I like how you changed it as well, epic.
Ed, your bass is a thing of beauty. I am jealous! I hope you guys come to Massachusetts soon, its been far to long since the last time i have seen you all play. Hope everything is going well!
Here’s the vid of Silhouette on Friday and Ed falling over! it’s at 1:28

Yeh A Song For Millie….. was an amazing reworking. I hope you record it like that or a live version appears for download somewhere it was really that good and worth owning in a collection.
Overall amazing show, and Wembley was great too.
Hahaha omg I’m so glad you got that on your camera Sean E.

Good lord….We asked for a studio version of Helter Skelter and we received one. Can We plllllllleeeeeassseeee start a petition for a studio version of this reworked Miley Michaelson
@ Trumtram
Dustin completly forgets his lyrics on the At the Last video. It’s pretty funny.
“I was no fool to think it might be my problem” was changed to…
well, pure mumbling and silence. haha
Awesome Gig in Nottingham, and a great support to Brand New. A lot of the reviews I’ve seen from journalists online and have been most kind to Thrice’ performance at Wembley. Was great to meet Riley and Dustin too. Thanks so much guys, Can’t wait for August!
Awesome videos for the HD ones. Nate looks like he is having fun up there. I feel bad for the band though, the crowd looks bored to death. Maybe things are just done differently across the pond.
@al
i thought the same about the crowd but can guarantee you that some great pit action including bouncing, singing und dancing in leeds
I managed to film the whole set in Cardiff.
Here’s In Exile: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_P1zpK9v7E
Check my channel for the rest.
Hat’s off to Nate, did an awesome job.
Btw, thanks Bean, that’s my channel!!!
Speaking of it being a really “hot one”…..please, please, freakin’ please tell me you will be joining Manchester Orchestra for a few more dates in their spring tour- specifically April 6 at the NorVa!!! That would be amazing! I would also settle for Philly, Carrboro or Towson!
Well what can i say? I was singing along on the belcony. I cant thank you guys enough for coming to Nottingham. It was an absolutley amazing night and i was and still am completely blown away by it. Next time though raise the ticket prices!!!! £15 is hardly fair. I’d be happy to pay upwards of £40 as i had a much better time then when i went to see coldplay at sheffield arena!!
I actually have you(Ed)on video falling and playing on the floor lol Please PLEASE PLEASe come again as soon as you can. I have filmed the enitre gig
Im not going to put it on youtube or anything as i dont see it as fair to you guys in more ways then one.
The new milly michaelson cover was just amazing. Love you guys! Easily my best band of all time and i dont think any one change that. If i could have reqested one thing of you guy that would have been to play “to what end” from the identity crisis album.
Didnt get to meet any of you and thats my only real wish as it will tick off another thing to do before i die
…feeling like Im due for a miracle
just watching “stare at the sun (Acustic) being performed in Nottingham
Lol the exact moment in which Ed fell was 1:20 into the song and took around 16 seconds to get back up with a smile lol
I want to know what was going through your head as you were smiling lol! If you would like a copy of your fall then let me know lol the funny thing is that i was recording only you at the time and all of a sudden you just werent on view lol
Hey
I made for you a special Thrice French Blog, in which I translate your interviews, your personal news, your lyrics and some other things. I would like you to agree an interview at Paris, July 19th, just before or just after your performance. It’s very important for all the French fans, and me.
I will continue to send you some messages, until you answer me back. Kiss xXx
